Why “behind the curtain”? Because what interests me in a subject is rarely the part that gets shown. A three-year roadmap, an IT budget, the promise of a new AI tool: behind them, there is almost always less glamorous machinery, and you can't build anything solid without understanding it.
By trade, I'm a consulting director: I help the IT departments of large corporations with their governance and their CIO Office. The rest of the time, often while the kids nap, I build AI agents, because I can't talk seriously about a tool I haven't broken myself.
So I mostly write about these fields: applied AI, information systems governance, managing teams of consultants. I also talk about books, with a standing date every January since 2020: the five that left their mark on me that year. When a piece strays outside these fields, I say so, because there I have no more authority than you do.
I've been writing since 2017, first to see things clearly; publishing comes second. The reader I have in mind is me six months ago: same situation, a little less perspective. If one of these pieces saves you those six months, it will have served its purpose.
